Effective Date: 16 September 2026

Become (“Become”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is operated by Charlie Nicholas, ABN 58 597 509 481, New South Wales, Australia.

Become is designed with privacy in mind. Most information you enter into Become remains stored locally on your device. We do not require you to create an account, and we do not sell your personal information or use it for advertising.

1. Information You Provide

Become does not require an account, login, password or email address.

During onboarding, you may provide seven free-text answers relating to:

These answers are used to generate personalised affirmations for your visualisation experience.

You may also create and store information within the App, including:

Because the onboarding questions and journal are free-text fields, you control what information you enter. We recommend that you do not enter information that you do not want processed as described in this Privacy Policy.

2. Information Stored on Your Device

Your onboarding answers, generated affirmations, habits, commitments, completion records, journal entries, reminder preferences and related settings are stored locally on your device.

Become does not operate a cloud account or database containing this information.

Your local App data may be included in backups created through Apple’s device backup services, such as iCloud Backup. Those backups are controlled by Apple and are subject to Apple’s applicable privacy terms.

Your journal entries are not transmitted to us, OpenAI, RevenueCat or any other third-party service by Become. Journal entries remain on your device.

3. AI-Generated Affirmations

Become uses artificial intelligence to generate personalised affirmations from your onboarding answers.

When you request generation or regeneration, the seven onboarding answers described above, including your first name, are transmitted securely to Become’s server infrastructure and then to the OpenAI API for the purpose of generating your personalised affirmations.

This occurs when necessary to provide the generation feature, including during onboarding and when you update your answers and request new affirmations.

Your journal entries are never included in these requests.

Become’s application server is stateless and does not maintain a database containing your onboarding answers or generated affirmations. The server processes the request, forwards the relevant information to OpenAI, returns the generated result to your device, and does not intentionally retain your onboarding answers.

Server error logs are configured not to contain the content of your onboarding answers.

OpenAI processes the submitted information as a service provider for the purpose of generating the requested content. OpenAI states that inputs and outputs submitted through its API are not used to train or improve its models by default. Under OpenAI’s standard API data controls, content may be retained in abuse-monitoring logs for up to 30 days, unless different data-retention controls apply or longer retention is required by law.

Before Become sends your personal onboarding information to OpenAI, the App will disclose this processing and request your permission.

If you do not provide permission for this processing, Become will not send those answers to OpenAI and the personalised AI generation feature cannot be provided.

4. Subscriptions and RevenueCat

Become uses RevenueCat to manage subscription status and access to paid features.

Because Become does not have user accounts, RevenueCat uses a randomly generated anonymous App User ID. We do not provide RevenueCat with your name, email address, journal entries, onboarding answers or other profile information.

RevenueCat may process:

RevenueCat documents that when an application does not supply its own user identifier, its SDK generates an anonymous App User ID.

Your anonymous RevenueCat identifier may also be transmitted to Become’s server when necessary to verify that you have an active subscription before providing paid AI-generation functionality.

5. Payments and Apple

All purchases and subscription payments within Become are processed by Apple through the App Store and Apple’s In-App Purchase system.

We do not receive or store your:

Apple provides the information necessary to determine whether a valid purchase or subscription exists. Apple’s processing of your payment and transaction information is governed by Apple’s own terms and privacy policies.

6. Expo and App Updates

Become uses Expo services to deliver application updates.

When the App checks for an available update, Expo may receive ordinary technical information associated with a network request, such as your IP address, App version, operating system or platform information.

Become’s API is hosted using EAS Hosting and associated infrastructure. Infrastructure and content-delivery providers may similarly process ordinary network information, such as IP addresses, when your device communicates with our API.

We do not use this information to build advertising profiles or track you across other apps or websites.

7. How We Use Information

We use information processed through Become only as reasonably necessary to:

We do not use your information for behavioural advertising or cross-app tracking.

8. Information We Do Not Collect

Become does not intentionally collect or access:

Become does not contain third-party advertising.

We do not use Firebase Analytics, Google Analytics, Amplitude, Mixpanel, Sentry or similar analytics or telemetry services.

There are no public profiles, social feeds, messaging features or other features that make your content visible to other Become users.

9. Notifications

Become may request permission to send notifications.

Become’s reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device using iOS. Become does not operate a remote push-notification service and does not collect or store push-notification tokens.

Notification permission is controlled through your iPhone settings and can be withdrawn at any time.

10. Selling, Advertising and Tracking

We do not sell your personal information.

We do not rent your personal information.

We do not use your personal information for third-party advertising.

We do not use Become to track you across apps or websites owned by other companies for advertising purposes.

We only disclose information to service providers where necessary to provide the functions described in this Privacy Policy, including Apple, RevenueCat, OpenAI, Expo and the infrastructure providers involved in operating Become.

We require our service providers to handle information consistently with their contractual obligations and applicable privacy and data-protection requirements.

11. Data Retention

Most Become data is stored locally on your device for as long as you keep it there.

Become does not maintain a server-side database containing your onboarding answers, journal entries, habits, commitments or generated affirmations.

Information temporarily transmitted through our API is processed to fulfil the request and is not intentionally retained in our application database because no such user-content database exists.

OpenAI may retain API content in abuse-monitoring logs for up to 30 days under its standard API data controls, subject to its applicable policies and legal obligations.

RevenueCat retains records associated with subscription management in accordance with its own legal and operational requirements.

Apple retains transaction records in accordance with its own policies and applicable law.

12. Deleting Your Data

You can erase locally stored Become data using the Erase All App Data option within the App’s Settings.

You may also remove locally stored App data by deleting Become from your device, subject to any copies contained in device backups managed by Apple.

Because Become does not create user accounts or maintain a cloud database containing your journal, habits, commitments or onboarding profile, there is no Become cloud account that needs to be deleted.

Deleting Become does not automatically delete transaction records maintained independently by Apple or subscription records maintained by RevenueCat where those providers are required or permitted to retain those records.

For privacy questions or requests relating to information handled by Become, you may contact us using the details below.

13. Your Choices and Consent

You control what information you enter into Become.

Where Become asks to transmit your personal onboarding information to OpenAI for AI generation, we will provide notice and request your permission before that transmission occurs.

You can choose not to provide permission. If you decline, information will not be sent to OpenAI for that purpose, although the personalised generation functionality will therefore be unavailable.

You may withdraw notification permission through iOS Settings.

You may erase locally stored Become data through the App.

14. Children

Become is intended for users aged 13 years and older and is not directed to children under 13.

We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children under 13.

If you believe that a child under 13 has provided personal information to us in circumstances where it has been transmitted to or retained by us, please contact us.

Users under the age of majority in their jurisdiction should use the App only with the involvement or permission of a parent or legal guardian where required by applicable law.

15. International Processing

Become is available internationally.

Some of the service providers used to operate Become, including OpenAI, RevenueCat, Apple, Expo and infrastructure providers, may process information in countries other than the country in which you live.

Where information is transferred internationally, we rely on our service providers’ applicable contractual, technical and legal safeguards and applicable data-protection requirements.

16. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect information processed through Become.

Most personal App content is kept locally on your device, reducing the amount of information stored on systems under our control.

Information transmitted to our API and service providers is transmitted using secure network connections.

However, no electronic transmission or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

17. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy where Become’s features, service providers, legal obligations or privacy practices change.

If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, provide notice within the App.

Your continued use of Become after an updated Privacy Policy takes effect is subject to the updated policy, except where applicable law requires additional notice or consent.
